
A series of ten novel hybrids from benzimidazole and pentamidine were prepared using a short synthetic route. Each compound was tested in vitro against the protozoa Trichomonas vaginalis, Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica, Leishmania mexicana, and Plasmodium berghei, in comparison with pentamidine and metronidazole.
