El Fondo Newton del Consejo Británico abrió la convocatoria “Newton International Fellowships” para financiar estancias postdoctorales en instituciones del Reino Unido.

La convocatoria es para alumnos de doctorado a punto de titularse o para doctores graduados en los últimos 7 años. 

Las becas para investigación clínica y orientada al paciente pueden ser hasta por hasta por dos años y consistir en:

Beca hasta por 32 mil libras esterlinas por año:

• Costos de subsistencia, exentos de impuestos (máximo £ 24,000)
• Apoyo de investigación para cubrir los costos de consumibles o equipo o viajes elegibles (máximo £ 8,000)
• Más los gastos de reubicación solo en el año 1 (máximo £ 2,000)

La convocatoria vence el 27 de marzo pero hay varios requisitos que cumplir por lo que es recomendable revisar con tiempo la convocatoria.

The Newton International Fellowship aims to support the development and training of postdoctoral researchers at an early stage of their career from any country outside the UK, by providing an opportunity to work at a UK research institution for up to two years. The call is jointly run by the British Academy, the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Royal Society.
